With the largest segment of my studio practice having been devoted to mixed media painting, it becomes necessary to categorize the work for ease of viewing. For work made post-2012, I've grouped them by exhibition, highlighting the themes and concepts they played the most substantial part in. Work created pre-2012 is grouped by years/periods.

These paintings set the stage for an imaginative book of tales by the same title (available in the shop) and lay the foundation for a musical score that accompanies them (see the music section to listen). This work also was created to flank the miniature room story set, "The Locket", which is the centerpiece of the "Magic Lanterns" show. The show has traveled to Atlanta, GA (2015), Ocean Springs, MS (2017) and will be in Anaheim, CA in spring of 2018.

This group of thirteen mixed media works was featured in a solo exhibition at Kelsey Michaels Fine Art in Laguna Beach during March of 2017. It is a surrealistic retro-fictional look at the Golden State, filled with references to vintage pacific amusement parks, the oceanside, Hollywood and the heritage of the American frontier.

As an on-going series of 8X10 inch works, these small paintings present themselves as "vignettes" of stories. They seem to offer a momentary glimpse into a larger story, hidden from view. With the intention to make fifty in the series, some have already appeared in recent exhibits. The first showing of a larger group of these works is scheduled at Sakuragi Fine Arts in Tokyo during October/November of 2018.

These paintings were the core group of my Fall 2014 exhibit with Florida Mining Gallery in Jacksonville, my second show with the gallery following a 2011 exhibit, "Entries of a Diary Thief". "Water Appears and Disappears" was my first exhibit to use a soundtrack to expand the viewer experience (visit the music section to listen). See the gallery installation photos.

This exhibit held at Sakuragi Fine Arts in the Ueno area of Tokyo during April of 2014 was comprised of a set of twelve twenty inch square works, created specifically for this unique space. See the gallery installation photos.

This 2012 exhibit at the Ohr O'Keefe Museum of Art in Biloxi, MS was in many ways a retrospective of my best work from 2004-'12. It included all of my short film work (click here to view them) and the very best of my paintings from those years. It also featured my first exhibition book, "Moon Rabbits : Pictures and Tales" (available in the shop). See the gallery installation photos.
